Thanksgiving night 2005. Geoff had his head stuck in the refrigerator assessing the leftover situation (go figure). Knowing we'd be leaving the next morning, he wondered what to do with the two dozen eggs he happened upon. Wendy volunteered to make some pumpkin bread. She casually mentioned her friend Jenny, owner of Souper Jenny in Atlanta, had offered to sell bread in her restaurant. Katie perked up and came flying across the room... "We're taking ten loaves of pumpkin bread in on Monday." After sampling family recipes all weekend long, we prepared our ten loaves of pumpkin bread to sell at Souper Jenny on Monday.

They sold out in an hour.

Breadwinner was born.
