We're fussy about our shipping so you always get the freshest bread. Please read the following for the full scoop on our shipping procedures.
SPECIAL NOTE: DELIVERY ON or BY A CERTAIN DATE
Unless special arrangements and additional payment are made, we ship FedEx ground to both residences and businesses. FedEx ground deliveries are not guaranteed to arrive within any specific time frame or by any specific date. The shipping times provided by FedEx are estimates only, not guarantees. If your package must arrive on or by a specific date, you must contact us to make special shipping arrangements.
We are not responsible for missing your desired delivery date if you do not choose and pay for expeditied, guaranteed shipping and arrange the same with us directly.
We're a pretty funny and light-hearted bunch here at Breadwinner, but there's one thing we take very seriously - the freshness of our bread. We use no preservatives, so everything we sell must be shipped quickly and correctly to arrive at its finest.
We do everything we can to make sure that every order is bakery fresh. We've had to put a few conditions on our shipping to make this happen. To us, it's the only way to provide the best product we can to our friends, and we know you understand. So ...
We use different carriers to reach some states. For most of the continental U.S., we use FedEx Ground, and we can do Overnight or 2-Day if you call and ask before placing your order. For OR, WA, HI, and AK, we use USPS Priority Mail, unless you specifically call and ask for expedited FedEx shipping. FedEx Ground is not available to those states. Why? Because we've found that it simply takes too long for the bread to be fresh on arrival.
We do not require signatures for delivery unless you request it. Often, requiring a signature means that FedEx misses the recipient for several days while they are at work or away; by that time, the bread is not fresh. If you have concerns about the proper delivery of a package, please contact us and we'll send your order "signature required." Otherwise, we're not responsible for packages delivered by FedEx that don't make it to their intended recipient. Sorry.
Shipping our bread is a little expensive. We're really sorry about this, and if we could find a way to get it to you fast, fresh, and cheap, we'd use it in a heartbeat. However, until we can teleport it directly to your door, the shipping we've chosen is the best method to get you the best product, and that shipping costs more than mailing other, less fresh and tasty stuff by the slow boat.
